Jesse Brown VA Medical Center – Chicago, IL
Homeless Shelter Wing
Midwest MEP completed a design / build capital construction project to serve the heating & cooling for the Hospital. The South Wing was renovated to accommodate new patient rooms and management offices for homeless veterans. Old forced air ventilation was replaced with (20) new Dual-Temperature Fan Coils with new individual thermostats for accurate temperature control on a room-by-room basis.
Chilled Water Upgrades
Midwest MEP completed a multi-year project to enhance the hospital’s Chilled Water Delivery System. The initial phase required all (47) Air Handlers serving the campus to be inspected and monitored for water flow values. Deficiencies noted. Ensuing phases involved piping corrections, adding or replacing flow control valves and other piping specialties. Final readings confirmed that all water systems received beneficial results.
